My subject matter mainly includes nature: flora, fauna, and sky.  I started with macrophotography, or, making small details large.  The intent is for the eye to perceive what a casual glance might miss.  The hope is to notice color, texture, light, depth, and like all art, not to stop time, but to appreciate the stillness within it.

More recently, I’ve been photographing birds in our woods and around the Southeastern Minnesota or Southwestern Wisconsin area. You’ll see bald eagles, pelicans, blue jays, hummingbirds, cardinals, and others on the website. I try to catch birds in flight whenever I can.
